Fujifilm's X-mount cameras have APS-C sensors, so the XF33mmF1.4 is actually a 'nifty fifty' with an effective focal length of 50mm. It's not the only Fujinon prime lens in this focal length. There's also the fractionally longer Fujifilm XF 35mm f2 R WR, and the stripped-down low-cost Fujifilm XC 35mm f2.

The Sigma 18–50mm F2.8 DC DN lens for Fujifilm X-mount camera systems is set for release in December 2022 for $549. For comparison, Fujifilm’s own XF 16–55mm F2.8 R LM WR lens costs double that at $1199. Its XF 18-55mm F2.8-4 LM lens, which DPReview TV has compared to Sigma's new 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN lens, is also more expensive, costing $699.

Thankfully, I paused and, very gratefully, the lovely people at Fujifilm sent me the Fujifilm 50mm f/2 lens as well as the Fujifilm 90mm f/2 lens to test drive. I’ve already posted my review of the 50mm f/2 which you read here if you’re interested. Long story short, that little lens was really good and would be perfect for travel photography.
